Автор книги "Секс в большом городе" Кэндес Бушнелл планирует написать два приквела к знаменитой истории. "Дневники Кэрри" будут посвящены подростковым годам главной героини Кэрри Брэдшоу. Издатель рассказал прессе, что книга затронет годы учебы в школе, расскажет о друзьях Кэрри, романах и о том, как она поняла, что мечтает стать писателем. Кэндес добавила, что Кэрри уже в школе не следовала за толпой, а вела ее, и именно в школе она начала наблюдать и комментировать социальную жизнь. Два романа на эту тему будут выпущены в 2010 году.
